Please note that these events are hosted by Anchor Concrete, and I am sharing it in order to ensure as many members of the Neighbourhood are aware and can attend to ask their questions directly of management at Anchor Concrete, and to learn more details about the proposal. The City of Kingston Public Meeting will be hosted at City Hall on October 20, 2016 at 6:30pm. Click here for detailed studies and information on this proposal.

"We hope that you enjoyed the summer and are looking forward to a wonderful fall! As good corporate neighbours, we want to keep you informed of some proposed site improvements and changes you will soon be made aware of as our company continues to modernize and adapt. "
We have submitted applications for official plan amendment, rezoning and severance ( consent) to improve the functionality of our site. A 10 acre lot addition is proposed from the 70 acre abutting parcel (1456 Aley Street) to enable improvements to our stormwater management facilities and to provide additional land for outdoor storage. The lands to be added require redesignating and rezoning to permit these changes. We are also proposing to create a new lot containing the Anchor Rebar manufacturing facility to provide better access to power for these operations. Rezoning of the whole site is required to permit this change. Signs regarding the proposed changes will be posted on our property in the very near future.
For more information or to obtain copies of the submitted drawings and reports, you can access our application through the City of Kingston Development and Services Hub (DASH).
We would like to invite you to attend an information session regarding these proposed changes and to tour the affected areas should you wish to do so. These sessions will be held on Thursday October 13th at 2 PM and at 5 PM. To ensure the safety of all our visitors and so we can make appropriate staff available, we request you pre-register by calling Sarah Rankin, our HR Manager at (613) 546-6683 ext. 244 or email
email@example.com to express your interest in attending. We will do our best to accommodate requested dates and times.
We look forward to hearing your thoughts on the proposed improvements to our facilities and to continuing to work together with our employees, neighbours and our community. "
