The purpose of this meeting is to share information that has been collected and how it has been used to inform plans and recommendations thus far for the Third Crossing. The agenda will be refined closer to the date, but will include:
- A brief history of Third Crossing
- Updates on preliminary design and business plan phases
- An overview of results from public survey and how those results were used

What is the Third Crossing open house about?
The public open house will be an informal drop-in so that you are able to learn more about the preliminary design and business plan for the Third Crossing. You will also be able to discuss your ideas and questions with City staff and consultants (the Third Crossing team). You can expect to receive information about how the preliminary design and business plan are being developed, the progress that has been made to date, and information/results you can expect to receive in the future as the work progresses to completion.
How will it work?
Information stations will be set up around the room with Third Crossing team members there to discuss questions and comments. Feel free to visit each station to learn more about the project and to share your ideas on the preliminary design and the business plan with members of the Third Crossing team. There will be no formal presentation so you can drop in anytime between 6 and 9 p.m. This meeting format gives you the opportunity to have meaningful discussions with members of the Third Crossing team about topics that are of interest to you regarding the preliminary design and business plan phases of the project. You’ll also find out how the preliminary design options and business plan will inform future decision-making for the Third Crossing.
How will my comments and input be recorded?
Comments and questions will be documented and your feedback will be reviewed and summarized, and shared on the Third Crossing webpage. Comments can be written onipchart paper, through note-taking and on comment forms that will be provided to you. You can also provide feedback on the comment page at www.cityofkingston.ca/thirdcrossing or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Where is the open house being held?
The Third Crossing open house is being held at the La Salle Secondary School located at 773 Highway 15. It will be held on Thursday, September 29th with drop-in anytime between 6 and 9 p.m.
What if I can’t attend on that date; where will I get this information?
Information displays for each of the topics will be available on www.cityofkingston.ca/thirdcrossing after the meeting. You can contact the Third Crossing team at any time to discuss your ideas and provide comments. Following the open house, the Third Crossing team will collect all information received and report back on comments that were provided by all participants
