Public Engagement Roundtable #2

  • Kingston Curling Club 130 Days Road Kingston, ON, K7M 6T5 Canada (map)

Join the conversation and help forge Kingston’s vision for improving how you can participate in City decisions.

It’s time to make a plan!  Last year, more than 1,000 Kingstonians completed an online survey telling the City about their communication and engagement preferences. Although it has taken us longer than anticipated, we are taking the next step and hoping you’ll help us create an engagement vision with guiding principles.

Why do we need a vision and principles?  A vision and principles will result in a commitment from the City that will guide when and how the City consults with you about City work. It will improve transparency and accountability. Even better – it will provide a basis for all of us to work together to make Kingston an even better place to live.

Public workshops: May  We are hosting three public workshops. At these workshops, we’ll ask you to help us shape a vision of what public engagement should look like and what principles should guide City consultations.

May 11 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Ecole Sir John A. Macdonald, 529 St. Martha St.
May 12 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Royal Kingston Curling Club, 130 Days Rd.
